Kids plates and their adult versions
Two kids orders share their names with a plate on the adult menu. The kids version costs less and has fewer calories:
- Grilled Shrimp: $7.99 for kids (80 cal), $17.99 on the adult menu (500 cal).
- Crispy Chicken Tenders: $7.99 for kids (690 cal), $16.99 on the adult menu (950 cal). The adult plate includes two sides.
Both calorie figures are for the plate alone. For a bigger appetite, the family-size orders are made to share.
Grilled or fried: choosing a plate
Three of the six plates are seafood (Grilled Shrimp, Popcorn Shrimp and Golden-Fried Fish). The other three (Macaroni & Cheese, Crispy Chicken Tenders and Grilled Chicken) suit a child who doesn't eat fish or shrimp, with chicken as the protein in two of them.
The grilled plates are the lowest in calories: Grilled Shrimp at 80 calories and Grilled Chicken at 170 calories. The fried and breaded ones run from 430 (Popcorn Shrimp) to 690 (Crispy Chicken Tenders).
If you're comparing plates for a lighter meal, these are the chain's own figures, not a health claim from this page. They come before the side, and a free one adds from 90 calories (Green Beans) to 510 (Chesapeake Fries). Every plate's full figures are on the nutrition page.
Ordering kids food online
Every plate on the kids page of redlobster.com has an Order Now button, so you can order online instead of at the table. The chain's app runs its Red Lobster Nation rewards, and its App Store listing (checked November 5, 2026) says dine-in, pickup and delivery visits all earn points.

Allergy information by plate
From the chain's allergy chart, for the main item only. Red Lobster says it can't guarantee any dish is allergen-free, and it marks every kids plate with a special risk of cross-contact from the cooking method. Questions about this menu
Is there a lobster tail on the Red Lobster kids menu?
The chain's allergy chart lists a Petite Maine Lobster Tail for kids, but the online menu at the location we use doesn't show it, so ask yours. Some kids plates can also add a Maine lobster tail for $17.99.
Is there an age limit for the children's menu?
The chain doesn't publish an age rule we can verify for when a child can order from it, and individual locations may handle it differently. Ask your location if it matters for your table.
Do kids eat free at Red Lobster?
Not as a standing offer. The kids page on redlobster.com showed no free meal or free refill offer when we checked on November 5, 2026. Kids eat free deals have run before, but only for a limited time and at participating locations, so check the specials before you go.
Do kids meals come with Cheddar Bay Biscuits?
The online menu says all entrées come with two warm Cheddar Bay Biscuits, but the kids plate descriptions don't mention them, so ask when you order. Extra biscuits are on the menu: a half dozen costs $4.99.
