Found something wrong?
Good. Tell us.
Menu guides go stale. Prices change, items get dropped, seasonal dishes come and go, and a site like this only stays useful if the people reading it push back when something looks off.
There's no reputational cost to us in being corrected. We'd much rather fix a price than defend one.
How a correction is handled
- 1You send it. The contact form has a 'price correction' option. Tell us the page, the item and what you saw instead. That's enough to act on.
- 2We check it against the source. Every correction is verified against Red Lobster's published menu before we touch anything. We don't change a price on a single report alone.
- 3We fix it, or explain why not. If the data was wrong, it gets corrected. If the difference turns out to be local price variation, we'll say so rather than silently changing a national figure to match one restaurant.
Things we already know
Some gaps are already documented rather than accidental. A number of items are published by Red Lobster without a description or a price, and we show them that way instead of filling in the blank. The $20 special, 3 course meal, dinner specials, and Canadian menu pages carry no specifics at all, because we haven't sourced them.
Those aren't errors to report, but if you have a verifiable source for any of them, that's exactly the kind of message we want at editors@redlobstermenuu.com. See about this guide for how the data is put together.
Correction questions
How do I report a wrong price?
Use the contact form and pick 'price correction'. Tell us which page and which item, and what you saw instead. A photo of the menu or receipt helps but isn't required.
How quickly are corrections applied?
We check each one against Red Lobster's published menu before changing anything, so it usually takes a few days rather than minutes. Corrections that turn out to be local price variation get noted rather than applied site-wide.
My local restaurant charges a different price. Is that an error?
Usually not. Red Lobster sets prices restaurant by restaurant, so a difference between your receipt and this guide is often normal local variation rather than a mistake in our data. We still want to hear about big gaps, because they can signal a menu-wide change we've missed.
